- Single criteria for “Unwillingness to fight”: There is now only one criterion for applying t.124, and that is one minute of elapsed bout time without a hit scored (or a hit scored off-target in foil). It is the duty of the referee to track the time since the last hit and apply t.124 as necessary.
Shouldn’t be a problem in foil and saber. But it seems contrary to the epee game. (At least that’s why Coach Chris dislikes it!)
Time to pay the piper register for the February/March 2019 Classes!

No year passes without the bureaucrats at the FIE passing changes to the rules. Some are necessary — addressing advances in safety technology and materials.
Others are pure bunk. (Think “Russian box of death” or the current meddling with the epee “non-combativity” rules. Don’t get me started…)
